Red Hill School is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) school, with an enrolment of approximately 700 students (P-6). We are seeking a highly motivated K-6 Primary Classroom Teacher to join our school team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in, and commitment to, an inquiry based curriculum and a willingness and capacity to work in a highly collaborative learning environment. The successful officer should also have strong communication skills and high level expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy. Experience in the International Baccalaureate Program is desirable but not mandatory.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: A minimum of four years full-time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification. Current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute). Mandatory: A current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011. Note: This is a temporary position available from 26 May 2017 until 27 January 2018.
