Details: The Epidemiology Section provides timely and accurate information on the health of the ACT population to assist in the development and evaluation of policies and interventions to improve health. This position will provide high level advice and direction on the work of the Epidemiology Section, including the survey program, cancer registries, maternal perinatal data collection, knowledge translation, systems modelling, data linkage and population health informatics.
The work program of the section is determined by national and territory health priorities and includes the production of the Chief Health Officer’s Report.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Tertiary qualifications and postgraduate experience in epidemiology or public health are highly desirable. A management qualification is desirable.
