Details: The ACT Health Directorate (AHD) is responsible for the stewardship of the health system in the ACT. AHD provides a strong policy and population health capability based on a foundation of world-leading health and medical research. ACT Health Directorate develops strategies and sets the direction to ensure that services meet community needs and expectations, deliver improved health outcomes, and that the health system is innovative, effective, and sustainable now and in the future. The Nurses and Midwives: Towards a Safer Culture Project has been formulated to support the rights of nurses and midwives in the ACT, and to keep them safe and protected in their workplaces. The project has three intersecting components, a Discussion Paper, Strategy, and Implementation Plan. The project supports an approach to a safety culture that relies on the leadership and collaborative efforts across ACT Health. Informed by the ACT Health Work Health and Safety Strategic Plan (2018-2022), the Strategy and Implementation Plan provide a foundation for positive cultural change within ACT health care environments, to reduce harm to workers, patients and visitors. To be successful in this position, you will have a demonstrated track record of working in a team environment and supporting and contributing to a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages collaborative teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
