Details: Canberra Health Services is seeking a suitably skilled senior executive, to fill the role of Executive Director, Surgery and Women and Children at North Canberra Hospital on a long-term contract.
The Executive Director is responsible for all business, operational and strategic management within the Surgery and Women and Children Divisions, from delivery of end-to-end services, management of the division’s workforce, governance and quality and safety.
The Executive Director is supported by their leadership team who are responsible for their individual departments and/or services and have direct accountability to the General Manager.
To be successful in this position, you should demonstrate a track record of successfully leading a clinical division within a health service and inspiring a senior management team and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements for such a role.
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $305,579 - $316,403 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $270,606.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
Note: Interviews for this role will be held on 17 December 2025 to enable the process to be finalised prior to the Christmas shutdown period.
