Details: Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) leads the ACT Public Service and provides strategic advice and support to the Chief Minister, Treasurer, Minister for Economic Development and the Cabinet on policy, financial and economic matters, service delivery and whole of government issues. The Directorate facilitates the implementation of government priorities and drives many new initiatives, including Access Canberra which provides a range of ACT Government shopfront and regulatory services. The Directorate is also responsible for Shared Services which provides financial, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Human Resource (HR) support across Government. The Director-General of CMTEDD is also the Head of Service. Treasury, within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate, is responsible for collecting and managing taxation revenue; managing the Government's financial assets and liabilities, including superannuation liabilities and investments; and providing advice to the Government and ACT agencies on the Territory's budget and financial management, economic and revenue policy, federal financial relations, and workers compensation policy. Treasury is also responsible for Shared Services which provides financial, IT and HR support across Government. Shared Services provides tactical and transactional finance and human resource services, publishing, mailroom and record services and holistic ICT services to ACT Government Directorates. Shared Services manages several whole-of-government business systems, as well as controlling critical ICT infrastructure on behalf of the ACT Government. Shared Services ICT provides a comprehensive range of ICT and allied services to all ACT Government Directorates as well as to all ACT Government schools and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT). Shared Services ICT operates within a modern ICT environment which includes managing data centres, and an extensive optical-fibre voice and data network. Other services provided including desktop support, ICT project management and business system development and support. The ICT Education Program Delivery Team is looking to engage a Solutions Architect on a temporary basis to provide high level leadership, management and strategic advice to support and meet agreed project deliverables in a Prince2 and ITIL based environment; document and develop technical solution designs to support the implementation of the Education Directorate’s new School Administration System and integration with existing Directorate business systems. In this it is expected that the successful applicant will ensure business need is articulated and mapped to technical solutions using formal agreed business analysis processes; and will understand and work within the ACT Public Service (PS) Code of Conduct and ACTPS values of respect, integrity, collaboration and innovation, and model behaviour consistent with the ACTPS Respect Equity and Diversity framework.
