The SOG C Operational Project Officer works as part of the YJAS executive team to deliver professional outcomes for Children, Youth and Families (CYF) with a focus on youth justice and adolescent services.

The role includes undertaking project management and reporting, secretariat functions, the creation and management of confidential documents including the creation of client briefs and the analysis and reporting of relevant information.

The Operational Project Officer is the key contact at Bimberi Youth Justice Centre for the centre’s Oversight agencies, preparing information requests and responding to external reviews.

The position is also the main support to the ACT Australasian Youth Justice Administrators (AYJA) representative, providing and coordinating all information requests, reports, preparing papers, managing events and other Ad Hoc duties as required.

The position works in partnership with key Executive contacts in CYF, Ministerial and Government Services, Deputy Director-General’s Office, Director-General’s Office on Directorate and Cabinet related items.

Knowledge of Cabinet related processes is highly desirable but not essential.

This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
