Details: The Public Advocate and Children and Young People Commissioner (PACYPC) is seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate person to join our business unit as a Senior Advocate at the Senior Officer Grade C level. Together with the Public Advocate and Deputy Public Advocate, the Senior Advocate provides leadership for the PACYPC’s advocacy, oversight and engagement responsibilities in respect of children, young people and adults with disability (notably those who have contact with mental health and/or forensic mental health services) in the ACT. The position has a systemic focus, and is underpinned by a commitment to ensuring that the supports, services and systems that exist to ensure the wellbeing of clients do so in a way that is appropriately cognisant of their rights, including the right of clients to make their own decisions and/or have their views considered in decision-making about their own lives.
