Details: ACT Corrective Services are seeking for Expressions of Interest for the short term filling of the Head of Programs and Reintegration role. The position reports to the General Manager Community Corrections and Release Planning. The position is focussed on the delivery of key interventions aimed at reducing reoffending both within custody and the community and is accountable for the performance of the Programs and Reintegration functional unit and the staff within. This is inclusive of key operational areas of offender programs, Extended Throughcare and the Transitional Release Program. The ACT Government is committed to providing a corrective services system in the ACT that reflects the most modern practices consistent with meeting its aims of promoting rehabilitation, reducing recidivism, protecting human rights and maintaining security. The candidate will be required to be responsive in managing a range of initiatives aimed at reducing reoffending, in custodial or community corrections and as such the ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience and understanding of intervention delivery in Corrections or related fields. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011
