Details: The Development Review and Coordination (DRC) team are seeking applications from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer. There are two positions available. The position is responsible for assisting the Managers and Project Leads in the day-to-day management of the acceptance process of infrastructure assets including roads, storm water, cycle paths, footpaths and public landscape works as well as the administrative duties within the Unit. The position normally works under the supervision of a Project Lead or one of the Managers on matters related to the review and assessment of submissions, as well as, in dealing with internal and external customers. The challenges faced by the position are to deliver optimal value-added outcomes for new or amended infrastructure assets generated by private developments or capital works program of the Territory in accordance with Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) Design Standards, Specifications and other relevant Codes and Standards. This position involves frequent onsite inspections of developments throughout the Territory.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, from a suitable tertiary institution, to allow eligibility for Graduate level membership of Engineers Australia. Current driver's licence is mandatory.
