About the Role:

Are you an organised leader who can balance competing priorities while delivering exceptional support to a busy clinical department?

The Department of Anaesthesia facilitates more than 32,000 elective and emergency anaesthetic procedures each year. The breadth of procedures undertaken is comprehensive, encompassing cardiac, neurosurgery and neonatal surgery, except for solid organ transplant. Services are delivered across several facilities, primarily Canberra Hospital the largest tertiary and trauma facility in the region as well as North Canberra Hospital, Calvary John James Hospital, National Capital Private Hospital and other private day surgery locations throughout Canberra.

As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, the Administration Manager is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the anaesthetics consultant roster. Working flexibly and collaboratively, the Administration Manager provides leadership and high-level administrative support to ensure the efficient delivery of the anaesthetics service. The role also supports the Clinical Director in achieving strategic and operational objectives.
