About the Role:


Health Information Services is embedded within the Decision Support Unit and plays a critical role in the management of health records, release of information, patient identifier maintenance, chart correction, health record forms design, and the management of access to personal health information.

In this influential role, you will drive excellence in health record integrity across CHS by leading strategic initiatives that ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of patient health records. You will oversee key functions including chart and patient identity corrections, discharge summary completion, and scanning services, while identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and service delivery. Working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, you will provide expert advice, strengthen governance frameworks, develop policy and procedural controls, and lead continuous quality improvement activities to enhance organisational capability and ensure compliance with legislative and professional standards.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in a digital health environment. You will be able to develop and manage effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, work within established legislative and policy frameworks, and provide specialist advice on complex policy matters. You will also demonstrate a commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and continually developing your expertise to support best practice and service excellence.

Please note: Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only. This is a multi-classified position. There is one position available, which may be filled at either the Health Professional Officer Level 5 or Senior Officer Grade B classification.
