About the Role:
Play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services through the efficient management of patient billing and accounts receivable functions.
In this diverse and fast-paced role, you will oversee a range of routine and complex billing activities, ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient account information, and manage invoice distribution and debt recovery processes. You will apply your knowledge of Medicare requirements, fee schedules and billing legislation to maintain compliance with financial and audit standards, while contributing to monthly reconciliations, reporting and business outcomes. Working closely with patients, staff and other stakeholders, you will provide responsive customer service, resolve enquiries, support continuous improvement of billing processes, and share your expertise through training and guidance to colleagues across CHS. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional looking to make a meaningful contribution in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Applicants will need to be enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong willingness to learn and understand billing in a public health environment, and use hospital-based IT systems such as Digital Health Record (DHR) and Power Billing and Revenue Collection (PBRC).
