The Branch Support Officer is part of a small, high-performing team that provides strategic and operational advice on whole-of-government employment, industrial and workplace relations matters.
The team is responsible for developing, negotiating and implementing enterprise agreements, associated policies and processes, and delivering high-quality advice to ACT Government directorates and agencies. The team also supports the application, implementation and interpretation of public sector employment legislation.
This role requires a high level of professionalism, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes in a timely manner. The successful applicant will demonstrate discretion, integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
How to Apply: Please provide a supporting statement of no more than two pages detailing your experience and abilities against the Professional and Technical Skills and Behaviour Capabilities outlined in the Position Description; and your current curriculum vitae with contact details of two referees.
Applications should be submitted via the Apply Now button below.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
