Details: Procurement ACT is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join the team as an Executive Assistant to the Executive Group Manager.
In this role, you will provide executive support to the Executive Group Manager and two Executive Branch Managers. This includes managing calendars, monitoring correspondence, and supporting day‑to‑day administrative functions. You will also contribute to general administrative support across the division, assisting with documentation, and business processes as required.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong attention to detail, can meet deadlines, communicates clearly, and works effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality is essential.
This position would suit someone who is adaptable, professional, and able to work collaboratively in a busy environment, while supporting broader organisational objectives. Procurement ACT values diversity and inclusion, and we encourage applicants who align with ACT Public Service values.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
How to Apply: Please submit a one‑page pitch addressing the Selection Criteria, along with your current curriculum vitae and contact details for two referees.
Applications should be submitted via the Apply Now button below.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
