Details: Transport Canberra is seeking a motivated and organised Project Support Officer to support the delivery of important public transport projects and initiatives that help shape Canberra's transport network.

Working within the Capability, Change & Coordination team, you will provide project management support across a range of transport projects and planning activities. Your work will include coordinating project administration, supporting procurement and contract management processes, preparing reports and business cases, managing records, and engaging with stakeholders. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a real difference to the Canberra community.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who can manage competing priorities, build productive working relationships, and work both independently and collaboratively. Experience supporting projects, procurement activities, contract management, and preparing high-quality written documentation will be highly regarded. Experience or an interest in public transport or a related field is desirable.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • The Planning and Delivery Branch operates in a hybrid working environment. Staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% of their weekly hours from the office.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Please note, this position is situated in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT.
