Details: Reporting to the Senior Director, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality data, analytics and platform services. You will help drive strategic direction, manage key financial and contractual responsibilities, and ensure services are delivered efficiently using modern, agile approaches.
This role plays a key part in shaping and growing data and analytics services across government. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, provide high‑level advice and reporting, and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture aligned with ACTPS values.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high‑performing Data and Analytics team
- Driving whole‑of‑government data and analytics strategy and service delivery
- Managing procurement, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Overseeing delivery of high‑quality, continuously improving services
- Leading planning and prioritisation aligned to organisational priorities
- Preparing executive, cabinet and ministerial briefings and reports
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across government

Eligibility/Other requirements: The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and possess or acquire and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance at Baseline level as an eligibility qualification. If AGSVA screening is not successful, your employment will not commence or, if already commenced, your employment will be reassessed.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months across the Division.

This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
This position requires the occupant to be an Australian citizen.
