Details: The Ministerial and Government Services Branch in Digital Canberra is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the position of Assembly Liaison and Ministerial Coordination Officer for a period of up to 12 weeks.

While not a technology enabling role, this position is key to ensuring that Ministerial Offices receive information in a timely manner and that the directorate understands and can action briefing requests in a timely manner.

The Assembly Liaison and Ministerial Coordination Officer perform a range of duties, often managing various requests and tracking multiple tasks autonomously and simultaneously.  To be successful you will need to be responsive, as well as able to forward plan for upcoming busy periods. The position requires a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality to ensure that the government business documents are handled, managed and maintained in accordance with the Territory Records Act 2002.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Understanding of ACT Government procedures and protocols relating to Ministerial and Legislative Assembly matters would be advantageous.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

This position is subject to hybrid and flexible working arrangements, with a combination of working from home and attendance at various office spaces, including Woden, Gungahlin and the City required.
