Details: Alfred Deakin High School is seeking a Staffing Officer to play a key role in supporting the school's day-to-day workforce and administrative operations. The position is responsible for coordinating staffing processes, including the recruitment and booking of relief staff, managing staff contracts and leave, maintaining HR records and compliance requirements such as WWVP and TQI registrations, and providing advice and support to staff and the school leadership team.

The role also contributes to the efficient running of the school by supporting front office operations, assisting the School Board, administering key communication channels, and providing First Aid support. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Staffing Officer requires excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills to ensure staffing needs are met while maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality administrative support.

The successful candidate for this role will be approachable, committed & supportive, with extensive administration experience.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra (act.gov.au)

Desirable:

  • Experience and knowledge of working in a school office environment.
  • Knowledge of Timetabling Solutions (Daily Organiser), Sentral and Microsoft Office packages.
  • First Aid Qualifications.
