Or perhaps you're between jobs and looking for your next opportunity. Whatever your story, we invite you to be part of a chapter of ours.
As an operationally focused organisation, the ACT Courts and Tribunal uses a temporary register to respond to the dynamic requirements of our operations. We seek to engage administrative employees for temporary short-term engagements at the Administrative Services Officer 3 (ASO3) level. You will join a team of administrative professional who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth administration of justice in the ACT.
If you are resilient, agile and a team player, we’d love to hear from you.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will use several computer software programs to undertake the tasks of this role.
- Experience working in client facing or customer service roles is highly desirable.
- To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
- If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History check.
- This is a temporary employment register that will be used to fill full-time, part-time and casual ASO3 positions.
- The register will automatically renew after four months. To remain on the Register, you will need to re-apply.
How to Apply:
The register will be used to select staff for temporary, short-term engagements. If you are interested in being placed on our Temporary Employment Register, please send a completed temporary register application form and a copy of your resume which should include the contact details of two referees, one being a current or previous manager/supervisor to TemporaryEmployment@courts.act.gov.au.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
