The Role

We are looking for a person with the highest level of personal integrity to join the ACT Audit Office. You will have a keen interest in public administration, the ability to objectively analyse issues, evaluate evidence and write high-quality reports.

You do not need prior experience in performance audit. We value a diverse range of qualifications, backgrounds and experiences. We provide on-the-job training to equip you to apply your research, investigation and communication skills to performance audit.

The Audit Office fosters accountability in the public administration of the Territory and promotes efficiency and effectiveness of public services. You will play an important role in ensuring the highest levels of accountability and transparency within the ACT Public Service. Your work will have a direct impact on the delivery of critical services for the community.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: You do not need prior experience in performance audit. The key to success in this role will be your personal drive and integrity and ability to objectively analyse issues, evaluate evidence and write high-quality reports. You will also align strongly to, and actively demonstrate, our organisational values of Independence, Integrity, Professionalism, Respect and Learning and Innovation.

You will most likely have tertiary qualifications, and you will be fluent in English.

Notes: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
