About the Role:

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 years who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues.

CAMHS teams are made up of multi-disciplinary mental health professionals who provide assessment treatment and clinical management within a recovery framework.

The team manager’s role will provide operational and clinical leadership of 3 programs: The Cottage Adolescent Day Program, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Program and Childhood Early Intervention Program.

As the Team Manger you will have responsibility for direct line management and supervision of the multidisciplinary allied health team including allied health assistants.

The role will also require the team manager to undertake professional development, participate and lead quality initiatives and the management of human, financial and physical resources, including work, health, and safety.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
  • Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
  • Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: The successful candidate will be required to be available to work within all program areas of CAMHS as service needs arise.

An Order of Merit pool may be used to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies within a 12-month period.
