About the Role:

The Financial Management Unit within the Chief Financial Officer division delivers high-quality, consistent financial and business management support to the Divisions of Canberra Health Services, working closely with key stakeholders. The Unit is responsible for developing and managing budgets and plays a critical role in monitoring and enhancing performance against agreed indicators and targets.

Finance Business Partners deliver a comprehensive suite of financial support services, including budget planning and oversight, divisional financial reporting, operational activity analysis, forecasting, cost assessments, and reviews of fees and charges. They also prepare business cases, manage re-profiling and rollover requests, and coordinate ad hoc statutory reporting for external stakeholders. In addition, they provide tailored financial advice and strategic support to the various business divisions within the Canberra Health Services Directorate.

As the primary point of contact for financial and business matters within their assigned divisions, Finance Business Partners are expected to be responsive to shifting priorities and adaptable in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholder groups.
