About the Role:

The Medical Imaging Department is part of the CHS Medical Services Group, the Director of Medical Services (DMS) leads a large multidisciplinary workforce. The portfolio includes:

  • Operational Management of elements for the medical workforce from Junior Medical Officers (not including prevocational doctors) to senior staff and Visiting medica Officers.
  • Pharmacy for Canberra Hospital, University of Canberra Hospital and community.
  • Healthcare Technology Management.

The Medical Imaging Department operates 24 hours, seven days a week and is made up of the following modalities:

  • Angiography (XA)
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Fluoroscopy (RF)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Mammography (MG)
  • Nuclear Medicine (NM)
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
  • Ultrasound (US)
  • X-Ray (XR)

The successful applicant will be required to problem solve and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. They will be highly motivated to complete tasks on time and be able to work independently and as a part of a team. The role will require participation in a rotating roster and may include afterhours or weekend work.
