Details: CIT is seeking a full-time technical officer Level 2 to perform administrative and purchasing duties within the Metal Fabrication trades teaching area.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Reporting to the Metal Fabrication Head of Department, the Metal Fabrication Technical Officer responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the workshops and associated tools/materials are ready for the students to commence learning.
- Preventative maintenance, calibration, and preparation of a variety of equipment used within the Metal Fabrication.
- Strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment for the students.
- Use of common computer programs to maintain records, stock management and purchasing requirements.
- Purchasing of consumables, material and equipment whilst undertaking stock control and arranging delivery of goods.

Eligibility/other requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory Qualifications and/or Registrations / Licencing:
- Technical Officer Level 2 (TO2) - Completion of an appropriate Trade qualification and/or relevant experience, training or accreditation relevant to the duties of the position.
- Current Forklift licence
- Current Drivers licence
- Fabrication & Welding experience
Desirable:
- Experience in an educational or industrial institution
