Details: Work Safety Group is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced person to fill the position of Assistant Director, Injury Management. The successful applicant will manage and support small teams of Rehabilitation Case Managers in the delivery of tailored case management and return to work services to a diverse range of operational areas across the ACT Public Service (ACTPS). To be successful, you will demonstrate strong leadership and management qualities as well as excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. This is a fast-paced, highly complex operational environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities is essential. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Whilst not mandatory, the following knowledge/ experience/ qualifications would be highly regarded;

  • Experience in workers’ compensation, injury management, claims or liability management for a large employer, insurer or regulator;
  • Experience in work, health and safety or human resources;
  • Tertiary qualifications in an allied health profession, rehabilitation, or occupational health and safety or partial completion of studies in these fields.

Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.

Please note, under activity based work (ABW) arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
