The role leads a team supporting the Directorate’s workforce of approximately 1,500 staff on employment matters. This includes providing expert advice and support to executives and supervisors on a range of complex people management matters such as performance, behaviour, attendance, flexible work, injury management, recruitment and other employment conditions, practices and policies. You will have a solid background in employee relations leading teams in a complex work environment.
To be a strong contender for this role you will be confident leading difficult conversations, have excellent ability to multi-task/prioritise, be a strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, and an ability to take a risk-based, pragmatic approach.
Additionally, you will design and deliver a range of projects, programs and initiatives that contribute to organisational and whole of government HR priorities.
