Details: The Recruitment and Information Services team is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to deliver recruitment services across the ACT Public Service (ACTPS).

The team provides operational and advisory support on recruitment and position management, including executive recruitment. As a key point of contact, you will work closely with directorates to deliver timely, high-quality recruitment outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The Senior Recruitment Officer is responsible for:

  • Managing team allocations and quality assuring recruitment requests
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to staff
  • Managing complex recruitment cases and enquiries
  • Delivering high-level advice to directorates, including executive recruitment
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience delivering recruitment services, preferably in government
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Recent experience in a Human Resources environment within government will be highly regarded.

Notes: There is one full-time permanent position and one temporary position available for up to six months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A merit pool may be established to fill identical vacancies, both temporary and permanent, over the next 12 months.

The team operates under a hybrid working arrangement, balancing office-based work in Gungahlin and working from home, subject to business requirements.
