Details: Are you a talented accounting and financial policy individual with strong stakeholder and leadership skills?

We are looking for a Senior Director to fill a pivotal role in the Financial Reporting and Framework Branch as part of ACT Treasury’s Finance and Budget Group, within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD).

The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of activities which may include reporting on the consolidated financial performance and position of the Government in both a budget estimates and actuals context, providing accounting and related advice to key stakeholders and preparing various high-level reports and submissions. You will need to be forward thinking with a strong focus on results.

You will have a sound foundation in complex financial accounting and related matters, including at a minimum, a baseline understanding of consolidated financial statements.

You will be resilient, analytical, a swift problem solver, a confident communicator in both oral and written form and be adept at using financial reporting systems.

This position will provide you with exposure to a broad range of financial and related issues across Government working in a small dynamic team environment. You will also be responsible for direct supervision of staff.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar field and membership to a professional accounting body will be highly regarded.

Notes: Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Please note, this position is activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
