Details: Events ACT is seeking expression of interest for an internal candidate to step into the role of Senior Director, Event Delivery for a short-term period up to mid-January 2026, with possibility of extension up to 6 months). This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of some of Canberra’s most well-known events.
You’ll lead a dedicated team and oversee the planning and delivery of major events, including Floriade and Enlighten. The role involves working closely with government and community stakeholders to ensure events are delivered smoothly, creatively, and in line with the ACT Events Strategy.
We’re seeking someone with strong leadership and communication skills, who can guide teams, manage complex projects, and work collaboratively across government and with external partners. Experience in event delivery or strategic planning is highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until mid-January 2026 with the possibility of extension up to six months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
