Details: A temporary opportunity exists to join the ACT Government's Work Safety Group as the Chief Finance Officer, leading the financial management, governance of the Public Sector Workers Compensation Fund. This role provides high-level advice on financial, investment and governance matters, oversees complex financial and compliance functions, and leads a small team supporting the Territory's workers compensation self-insurance arrangements. The position works closely with senior executives, government stakeholders and external advisers to support informed decision-making.
This recruitment is being undertaken to support upcoming leave arrangements and will initially be offered on a temporary basis. A merit list will also be established from this process to fill future temporary vacancies arising from staff leave.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 19 August 2026 for up to six weeks with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
