Details: The Office of Industrial Relations and Workforce Strategy (OIRWS) is seeking a motivated and experienced Executive Support Officer to join our high performing team. You will be responsible for providing high level operational and administrative support to the Deputy Director-General (DDG), as well as other executives within the Division as needed.

To thrive in this role, you will have experience providing administrative support to senior executives preferably in a government environment, including managing diaries, emails and calls, responding to enquiries, preparing correspondence and documents, and organising meetings. You will also have advanced administration and coordination skills and knowledge of contemporary government practices and trends. Your ability to consolidate information from different sources and prepare written communications and documents with attention to detail and accuracy, is essential.

You will be exceptional at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and your ability to collaborate and liaise with a range of stakeholders will be heavily relied on. You will excel in this position if you are resilient, flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances while managing multiple priorities and demands.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Previous experience providing executive support and coordination in a government organisation is highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 1 October 2025 for a period of nine months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

An order of merit may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
