Details: We’re seeking a dynamic communications professional for a short-term backfill available immediately until 8 October 2025 with the possibility of extension up to six months.

This exciting opportunity within the Economic Development Division offers the chance to lead impactful communications and engagement initiatives across government.

You’ll provide support to high-profile projects including Floriade with Events ACT, promotion of major sporting events like the Socceroos, strategic media and communications support to ministerial offices and work closely with Sport and Recreation, artsACT and Skills Canberra just to name a few. This role suits someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills, media management experience, a passion for audience-first communications, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality content and strategic advice aligned with whole-of-government priorities.

We are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across the division and across government more broadly.
