Details:  The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic and Development Directorate (CMTEDD) is looking for enthusiastic year 11 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students to join our Employment Pathway Program (EPP).

The EPP is an entry level program that gives students the opportunity to combine their secondary studies with part-time paid employment while also working towards obtaining a nationally recognised Certificate II qualification.

Students will work on average one day per week and receive access to mentoring and support throughout the program.

On successful completion of both the program and the ACT Senior Secondary Certificate, participants will be engaged on a full-time permanent basis.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • This is an identified position in accordance with Section 27(4) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and is only open to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander lived experience, and cultural capability is considered essential and confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage may be requested.
  • Eligible students must be enrolled in year 11 at an ACT Government College.

Note: This is a temporary position available 14 October 2025 until 31 December 2026 with the possibility of permanency. This position is part-time at (11:00) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata. Selection may be based on application only.
