Details: Archives ACT is seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Director, Access and Mail Services to lead the Public Access, Digitisation and ACT Government Mailroom teams.

This role is responsible for managing public access to the ACT's historical government records, delivering digitisation programs that improve preservation and accessibility, and ensuring efficient, secure and timely mail services across the ACT Government. You will provide operational leadership, drive service improvements, and build strong stakeholder relationships while supporting high-quality services for government and the community.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

  1. This position may require a minimum AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
  2. This position requires the ability to work in a manual handling environment.
  3. This position may require a pre-employment medical.
  4. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
  5. Qualifications or equivalent experience in archives, libraries or records management are desirable but not essential

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
