Details: Do you want to enhance the wellbeing of Canberrans by applying your public policy skills to tackle economic and regulatory policy issues facing the Territory?
The Economic and Regulatory Policy Unit within ACT Treasury is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual wants to have a tangible impact on the wellbeing of Canberrans.
Your advice and economic assessment of issues will assist the ACT’s implementation of National Competition Policy reforms and the development of important government initiatives such as climate change policy, energy reforms, utility pricing and regulatory policy.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in economics, commerce, or another relevant field, are highly desirable.
- To be eligible for permanent employment within the ACTPS you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 27 February 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
One position is available and will be filled at either the Policy or Senior Policy Officer level depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
