Details: Digital, Data and Technology Solutions (DDTS) is looking for an Assistant Director, Digital Policy to join our team in developing and providing high quality, evidence-based strategic policy advice relating to technology matters that support the delivery of ACT Government priorities and outcomes. DDTS is undergoing an exciting transition to Digital Canberra and we are looking for someone to help contribute to our evolution.
You will work within the dedicated and collaborative Design and Strategy Branch (DSB) team, which provides strategic guidance on whole-of-government technology investment and delivery, incorporating design practice, enterprise architecture, investment governance, and digital policy functions. As part of the small Digital Policy team, you will work in partnership with the Branch, all areas of DDTS, and with colleagues across directorates to ensure earlier visibility and understanding of the technology implications of initiatives across government and nationally, influencing and supporting strategic decision-making.
Our ideal candidate is someone with high level expertise in preparing written documentation (both strategic and routine) in a government setting, strong liaison/coordination and stakeholder relationship skills, and the ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, and critical thinking and analysis to current and future policy challenges.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: This position is available on a temporary basis, and therefore the Position Description requirement of "hold or obtain and maintain a national security Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance" is not a mandatory requirement. The successful candidate will only be required to obtain and maintain a CMTEDD Personnel Vetting Program certificate.
Notes: This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 weeks. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This role can be undertaken in a hybrid manner at 220 London Circuit, Winyu House, and from home, in conjunction with team and branch arrangements.
