Details: Are you an experienced turf professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality sporting facilities for the community?

The City and Environment Directorate is seeking a motivated TO2 Grounds Supervisor/Leading Hand to join the Sport and Recreation Facilities team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise a small team responsible for the maintenance and presentation of ACT Government sportsgrounds, including enclosed ovals, district playing fields, neighbourhood ovals and synthetic turf facilities.

You will coordinate day-to-day turf management and horticultural activities, support irrigation operations, oversee staff performance and safety, and ensure sportsgrounds are maintained to a high standard for community use.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • Certificate III or higher in Turf Management.
  • ChemCert III (or equivalent/higher).
  • Workplace Health and Safety Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain; General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • C-Class Driver Licence.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
