Transport Canberra Planning & Delivery Branch is looking for Director Public Transport System within the Business Improvement Unit. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Business Improvement, and serves as a subject matter expert in public transport technology.
The role is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the information infrastructure that underpins all information management activities required by Transport Canberra to support the ongoing delivery of public transport services. The position also ensures that the information infrastructure is fit for purpose and efficiently integrated with broader ACT Government information systems, while providing subject matter expertise to cross directorate projects and initiatives on behalf of Transport Canberra.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
- A tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience in a related field is highly desirable.
- This position does not require a security clearance.
- Planning and Delivery Branch operates in a hybrid working environment, providing employees with the opportunity to split their working hours between home and office. To foster an environment of collaboration, information sharing and building connections, we ask that staff commit to working a minimum of 40% of their weekly hours from the office.

Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
