Details: ACT NoWaste is seeking an experienced leader to permanently fill the position of Project Director, Infrastructure Planning and Coordination.
The Strategic Coordination and Planning (SCP) team is an integral part of ACT NoWaste’s commitment to driving innovation and performance in the management of waste and recycling services for the Territory. SCP is responsible for the planning of ACT NoWaste infrastructure assets and services. Key responsibilities include asset and infrastructure planning, waste management related business cases, technical design reviews, project management, coordination and stakeholder engagement.
The Project Director will work closely with a range of key stakeholders, including the Infrastructure Canberra, Infrastructure Delivery, the ACT NoWaste leadership team, the City and Environment Directorate (CED) Executive as well as other areas of CED, to support deliver all aspects of Territory’s waste management infrastructure program.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or Hold a relevant building degree; or Have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience
- Qualifications or substantial experience in waste management infrastructure or environmental science, procurement and contract management would be highly regarded.
- A current ACT Driver’s licence is desirable.
- This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
- This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
