Details: Are you a strategic leader with high business and commercial acumen, and a strong knowledge of horticulture? Are you ready to lead a diverse workforce and engage with broad range of stakeholders? Then you could be the next General Manager / Senior Director Branch Manager at Yarralumla Nursery.

Yarralumla Nursery is the largest wholesale nursery in the southern tablelands and sells high quality, competitively priced plants to landscape, wholesale, and retail industries; Landcare groups; and local, state governments as well as the Australian Government. The Nursery propagates and grows over 200,000 cool climate plants annually from its own plant stock and seed bank including local, rare, and endangered species.

This position requires a strategic and commercially minded leader to support the continued growth and resilience of the Nursery by identifying and progressing business development opportunities and strengthening cost management practices. The successful person will lead an office-based and operational workforce responsible for plant production and maintenance, sales, finance and administration, facilities, marketing and communications.

The role is based at the Yarralumla Nursery in Canberra.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant qualification and experience in horticulture and business or public administration is highly desirable.
