Details: Are you a high performing project manager, who can lead a small team to effectively and efficiently deliver the key urban renewal and planning objectives of Government.
The Development and Implementation division is looking to fill on a short-term basis, an IO4 with strong project management skills and comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, urban renewal and greenfield land development processes.

Brief description of the Branch
The Directorate is responsible for delivering planning policies, programs and projects that aim to improve the liveability of our city. Within the Directorate, the Development and Implementation Division is responsible for undertaking significant programs relating to the planning and sustainable development of our city. Key areas of focus include:
- land use planning and investigations to guide the delivery of greenfield and urban renewal land development
- demonstration projects to facilitate urban renewal and planning outcomes
- direct sales of land to support community needs
- infrastructure planning and studies to inform land use planning outcomes and ensure timely delivery of servicing infrastructure.
Brief description of the role and its requirements
The Land Supply team within the Development and Implementation division is responsible for a wide range of projects related to the supply of land for future development across Canberra and delivering various Government initiatives.
The team work on:
- complex urban renewal and greenfield projects involving multiple agencies and policy outcomes; and
- the management and delivery of site planning assessments to facilitate land supply and inform the Indicative Land Release Program.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Essential:
- Pre-requisite Qualifications and/or Experience - Positions classified as an Infrastructure Officer require the occupant to hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or hold a relevant building degree; or have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Highly Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in relevant fields such as: Project Management, Urban Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Environmental Science, Infrastructure, Land Economics or Surveying. A minimum of five years' experience in a relevant field
