Details: Do you enjoy the challenge of being part of a team in a fast-paced environment and actively engaging in a risk of harm approach to compliance? Are you looking to apply your leadership skills across a broad range of industry sectors to build strong stakeholder relationships, promote safe communities and contribute actively to a more sustainable environment? Are you able to lead by example, adaptable to change and confident in balancing competing priorities? Does the thought of managing a group of amazing Compliance Officers - rather than just your caseload - excite you? If you find yourself answering “Yes” to these questions, then our team might just be the perfect fit for you!
As the Operations Manager (Reactive) in the Public Land Use Compliance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field activities of the team. Our work primarily originates via Fix-my-Street complaints, however there are also other avenues of reactive taskings, such as Ministerial requests and other units within the Directorate. You will be strongly supported by the Ops Manager (Proactive) as often there is a cross-over between proactive and reactive cases and cross-collaboration becomes part of your day. Being the Reactive Ops Manager, your leadership will also extend to our highly competent, yet small, Operational Support Team, so you will be well-versed (or quickly become) in triage systems and case assessments. You will provide guidance, support defendable decisions and understand/interpret the main Legislation that our team functions under – the Public Unleased Land Act 2013 and the Litter Act 2004
