The Service Centre leadership team has an opportunity to temporarily fill a key leadership position over the next 6 months and would like to hear from motivated and passionate applicants. Note that the acting arrangements may be extended however it is not ongoing.
The Access Canberra Service Centre teams are the front door to ACT Government. The Service Centres strive to deliver high level customer service by planning, designing, re-engineering, delivering and coordinating customer services across phone, email, and face to face channels.
As an Assistant Director, people leadership should be your passion. You will operate with a high degree of independence and actively contribute to and participate in the operations of the teams. You will play a part in progressing matters within your areas of responsibility and be working closely with the Service Centres, while coordinating and supporting a suite of Service Delivery improvements these teams are looking to deliver. You may also be required to fulfill other roles as required, which might mean providing leadership to additional teams aligned to your skills.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: A working knowledge of Service Centre operations is preferred.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 11 August 2025 until 10 November 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based work (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
