Details: The City and Environment Directorate (CED) is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join the Central Procurement Team as Director, Procurement Operations. This role leads a specialist team responsible for delivering procurement, grants and contract management support across one of the ACT Government's most diverse directorates. Working closely with executives and business areas, you will provide practical commercial advice and lead procurement activities that enable the delivery of major infrastructure, environmental, city services and community outcomes.

As the Directorate's operational procurement lead, you will oversee end-to-end procurement processes, market engagements, evaluation activities, contract establishment and administration, while ensuring compliance with the ACT Government procurement framework. You will play a key role in supporting governance, probity, value-for-money outcomes and contract performance management, while helping to build procurement capability across the organisation.

We are seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused leader with strong government procurement experience, sound commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Experience leading procurement teams, delivering complex procurement activities and providing strategic advice on contracts, grants and commercial arrangements will be highly regarded. This is an exciting opportunity to influence significant procurement outcomes and contribute to the delivery of services that support Canberra's future.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement (i.e Advanced Diploma in Strategic Government Procurement), commerce, law or public administration are highly regarded.
• Probity/assurance training desirable; understanding of modern slavery/ethical treatment reporting obligations beneficial.

This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
