Details: The Transport Canberra Recruitment and Training Team are looking to fill the Senior Recruitment and Training Officer position. Reporting to the Assistant Director Recruitment, the Senior Recruitment and Training Officer will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the team, consisting of 2 ASO4’s.

The ideal applicant will have demonstrated understanding of ACT Government’s best practice recruitment methods and principles, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across ACT Government, while providing and delivering a high quality of organisational recruitment strategies, programs and projects.

The Senior Recruitment and Training Officer, will also need to have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including the ability to analyse stakeholder requirements and workshop solutions to achieve desired outcomes within policy and legislative requirements.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • Qualifications in human resources is highly desirable.
  • Experience in interpreting legislation, policies, procedures and enterprise agreements in an operational environment would be beneficial.
  • Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
  • This is an office-based position working from Tuggeranong.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. An Order of Merit will be established and used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Due to the operational requirements of the business, this is an office-based position located in Tuggeranong.
