Details: An exciting opportunity exists to play a key role in the provision of Government Services to the ACT Community. Access Canberra Contact Centre is seeking applications to temporarily back-fill vacant Team Leader positions with the possibility permanency.

The Contact Centre offers a comprehensive suite of services, including reporting safety and municipal services concerns, handling vehicle-related transactions, administering personal identity processes and payments for government accounts. Additionally, the Contact Centre supports the State Emergency Services (SES) during severe weather events.

The Operations & Business Support Officer provides critical analytical and technical expertise to ensure the high performance of the Access Canberra Contact Centre. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of operational reporting, including the analysis of AHT, agent adherence, and call flow trends to produce accurate workforce forecasts and government output reports. By conducting research and providing data-driven insights for briefs and business cases, the officer supports management in strategic decision-making and ensures the branch meets its administrative and reporting deadlines.

Beyond data analysis, the position acts as a key driver for digital transformation and operational excellence. The officer supports the implementation of new technologies while maintaining strong corporate relationships across ACT Government agencies to facilitate smooth service delivery.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in call or contact centre environment would be desirable.
  • Very well-developed keyboard skills & computer literacy including Internet access and general knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications would be desirable.

Essential:

  • This position requires that applicants are available to assist with training on after hours’ shifts and to be available outside business hours during emergency events.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a minimum period of three months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position includes a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT and is a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
