We are seeking expressions of interest to backfill the Executive Assistant to the Head of Access Canberra position, available immediately!

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced executive environment, providing direct support to the Head of Access Canberra and Deputy Head of Access Canberra. You will gain valuable insight into the operation of Access Canberra, support key decision-making processes, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality executive services.

While in this role you will:

  • Provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Head of Access Canberra and Deputy Head of Access Canberra.
  • Manage complex calendars, meeting schedules, travel arrangements and competing priorities.
  • Coordinate the timely flow of correspondence, briefing materials and information through the Office of the Head of Access Canberra.
  • Monitor and track key tasks, action items and deadlines to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Head of Access Canberra and Deputy Head of Access Canberra.
  • Support executive governance forums and meetings, including agenda coordination, logistics and secretariat functions as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
  • Understand and work within the ACTPS Code of Conduct and ACTPS values of respect, integrity, collaboration and innovation, and model behaviour consistent with the ACTPS Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Be proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Be able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your executive support capabilities, gain exposure to senior leadership and broaden your understanding of Access Canberra's strategic and operational priorities.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
