Details: Transport Canberra is seeking a motivated Data Analysis to supports the Business Improvement team by providing data analysis and reporting to inform public transport planning, policy, and service delivery. Working under the general supervision of the Director, the data analyst assists with data extraction, cleansing and quality assurance, and contributes to performance reporting, external requests, and strategic projects.

Working within the Business Improvement team, you will prepare submission of recurring reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannually and annual basis for external and internal stakeholders and customers. You will also create new dataflows and dashboards in reporting analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau as and when requested by a stakeholder. The position will also manage dataflows, datasets and dashboards on a regular basis and documentation for mandatory reporting requirements as well as ensuring automation in the development of reports and analysis in reporting tools.

This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • The Planning and Delivery Branch operates in a hybrid working environment. Staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% of their weekly hours from the office.

Note:  This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of permanency. The start date is negotiable.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Please note, this position is situated in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT.
