Details: The Policy, Planning and Built Environment Group is seeking applications for the position of Director, Territory Plan and Planning Reform within the Building, Design and Development Branch.
The Director supports the Senior Director in delivering the Territory Plan and Planning Reform program by leading key components of plan administration, legislative amendments, and reform initiatives. The role ensures high-quality analysis and advice, coordinates inputs across government, and works closely with stakeholders to enable effective, contemporary planning outcomes for the ACT.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications and experience in strategic land use planning, urban and regional planning and policy, social planning, urban economics, environmental policy or other relevant professional area is highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 20 August 2026 to 2 April 2027, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
A Merit Pool will be established from this process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
