The Cultural Facilities Corporation (CFC) is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to take on the role of Director, Live Performance and Theatre, focused at the Canberra Theatre Centre. This is a rare opportunity to shape the direction of a multi-venue performing arts centre within the ACT’s largest cultural organisation.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings deep, established relationships with producers, presenters, and arts organisations—locally, nationally, and commercially;
  • Is passionate about new work, creative collaboration, and expanding artistic possibilities;
  • inspires teams, motivates individuals, and fosters a supportive and inclusive culture of innovation and excellence; and
  • Combines entrepreneurial thinking with a commitment to outstanding artistic outcomes.

Ask yourself:

  • Do you thrive in leadership roles that require strategic thinking and creative vision?
  • Are you excited by the opportunity to grow an organisation in both scale and purpose?
  • Do you want to be part of a remarkable team already achieving incredible results?

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a lasting impact.
